Immersive sound at museum in Valdivia

Various kinds of acoustic measurements and informal listening tests were carried out at the Museo de Todas las Aguas del Mundo between Monday, July 28 and Friday, August 1, 2025. The measurements included a detailed calibration of the acoustic system using the Genelec GLM system.

In parallel, informal listening tests were conducted using a variety of soundscape recordings from different natural environments. These tests focused on aspects such as presence, immersiveness, timbral clarity, listening position stability, and spatial perspective.

The results of these evaluations form the first experimental phase of the thesis project by Acoustic Engineering student Leonardo Santos.
