On May 9, a concert was held at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, featuring works by students from the United Kingdom and Chile. These pieces were composed using soundscapes recorded in London and Valdivia.

This event is part of a recent cooperation agreement between the University of the Arts London and the Institute of Acoustics at Universidad Austral de Chile, as well as the recently awarded FONDECYT Regular project “Creative and educational applications of natural soundscape recordings” (Grant No. 1250388).

Prior to the concert, the participating artists gave a talk introducing the works included in the program.

Below is a video documenting the implementation and development process of the concert.

The works from this project will soon be released by Gruenrekorder, a German label specializing in music created from soundscapes.
