The Soundlapse project has been included in the book Recolección. Artes en defensa de la naturaleza en Chile, edited by Maya Errázuriz, Nélida Pohl and Catalina Valdés and published in 2026 by Fundación Mar Adentro and the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity. The book brings together essays and more than sixty projects and initiatives exploring the intersections between art, science, ecology and environmental activism across different regions of Chile.

In a section devoted to Soundlapse, the publication highlights the project’s work on the sound heritage of urban wetlands in Valdivia, as well as the use of critical listening and sensory education as ways of engaging with territory and environmental issues. The text describes the project’s temporal and spatial soundscape recording methodologies and emphasizes its interdisciplinary character, combining acoustic research, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, 3D audio and creative processes.

The book also highlights the immersive and educational experiences developed by the team and mentions among the project’s outcomes the sound installation A Queda do Céu by André Mestre and Felipe Otondo, a finalist for the 2022 Lumen Prize for Art and Technology, the Soundlapse album released by the German label Gruenrekorder, and a range of scientific publications arising from the research.
